Before care in the JCPS is called Morning STARS and starts from 7am.
After care is CASPER, which starts at dismissal and goes until 6pm for students Pre-K through Grade 5.

We hope this message finds you well. We have received your feedback and concerns regarding Morning Stars and Casper. Your feedback is invaluable, and we want to address each of your concerns and provide you with information about the recent changes and challenges we've faced.

There will be a SPECIAL MEETING / BOARD RETREAT for School Board Members of the Jersey City Board of Education on Monday, September 11, 2023, 346 Claremont Avenue, Jersey City, Conference Room 1R, at 6:00 pm.

Due to the current heatwave, schools will have a one-session day with dismissal at 12:45 PM on Thursday, September 7, and Friday, September 8, 2023.

Having access to an AED and CPR training can save lives. That is why JCPS health department has been working tirelessly to train district employees and continue to get more staff CPR certified in the coming year. Since Feb 2023, 350 staff members have been trained by certified American Heart Association CPR  Instructors!
